The Eighth UH-1Y Venom utility helicopter, No.0497, of the Czech Air Force, during test flights at the Bell Assembly Center in Amarillo, Texas.

This is not only the last UH-1Y Venom produced for the Czech Air Force, but if Bell does not receive any more orders, it will be the very last Venom ever produced. In fact, the next AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom to be received by the CzAF will be upgraded ex-USMC helicopters from the cancelled Hawaii squadron.

The seventh and eighth UH-1Y Venom (No.0496 & No.0497) will be delivered to the Czech Republic in the next days or weeks.

@zord: Nem mintha morgolodni akarnek, de jo latni, hogy igazabol lehet beszerezni mind door gun-t, mind pedig 70 mm raketat, ha van ra elszantsag.

Fogalmazhatunk úgy, hogy az akarásnak rakéta, a nem akarásnak beszarás a vége :-)

A cseheknek annyi könnyebbségük azért volt, hogy náluk a 70 mm nem újdonság, az ALCA miatt már >húsz éve van CRV-jük. Valószínűsítem, hogy abból lőttek a Venomok is.
Nyilván ez még nem nem a tavalyi FMS megrendelésük 600 db APKWS (és 200 db AGM-114R) rakétára

Petr Janáček, spokesman for the Vysočina Region Medical Rescue Service, confirmed that the rescue operation is continuing, with approximately ten or twelve rescuers from Vysočina currently on site.

In addition to ground crews from Třebíč and Velká Bíteš, a helicopter from Jihlava and a rescue helicopter from the Olomouc region are also helping. Rescuers received a report of the accident shortly after noon, according to their information it occurred near the airport.

Janáček confirmed the death of one person, but could not specify whether it was a member of the helicopter crew. Two injured people were transported by rescuers to a hospital in Brno, one to an emergency room in Jihlava. According to him, the total number of injured people is not yet available.
